What is Rotary?

What Does the Rotary Club of Kittery do?
Here are some of the projects that we are involved in
Locally We support children and education
- Student exchanges, we hosted a Traip student for a year long exchange to Thailand and three short term exchange students.
- Student of the month, we recognize and honor a student each school month from Mitchell and Traip Academy at our Rotary meetings.
- Scholarships are given to worthy graduating seniors.
- Literacy, regular donations of books to local libraries, preschoolers, and third graders.
- Encouraging Community Participation & Support, volunteering for various local events such as: Christmas parade, Halloween party, host a dinner for our senior citizens, summer reading program for the Pre Kindergarten children, End 68 Hours of Hunger, Footprints food pantry, holiday baskets, Kittery Block Party, Fair Tide, and regular American Red Cross Blood Drives.
- Sent a fire truck to Honduras.
- Traveled to Guatemala & Cuba to install water filters.
- Participated in the Crutches 4 Africa program.
- Participated in the fight to end polio.
- Participated in a grant to start a human milk bank in India.
